Situation
Cwm Gwaun, Pontfaen is a small hamlet which is situated in the picturesque Gwaun Valley some 5 miles or so south east of the Market Town of Fishguard. Pontfaen benefits from a Chapel, Public House, Church and a Primary School.
Some 3½ miles or so equidistant is the popular Coastal and Market Town of Newport and also the Coastal Village of Dinas Cross.

DIRECTIONS:
From Fishguard take the B4313 road south east for some 2 ½ miles, passing through the village of Llanychaer and some 500 yards or so further on follow the road to the left in the direction of Maenclochog (at what appears to be a crossroads). Continue on this road for a further 4/500 yards and where the road bears right up the hill, bear left (straight on) and proceed down into the Gwaun Valley. Continue on this road for 2 miles or so and in the hamlet of Cwm Gwaun, Pontfaen proceed past The Dyffryn Arms and a 100 yards or so further on, Tir-y-Coed is situated on the left hand side of the road.
